International platforms of which we are members

 

- Cooperation with Institutional Partners

1. United Nations 

Since 2002, the National Assembly has had a status of consultant  in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) which includes 54 countries of the UN. NAYORA created cooperative relationships with a range of agencies and organizations of the UN and became a sustainable partner at the local level in the field of work with teenagers and youth. Till this time there were different short-term and long-term projects and events organized with UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF, ILO, UNEP, also with The Office of Specific Ambassador of Secretary General of UN in the field of Youth. This partnership covered promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals, youth policy, the rights of children and adolescents, youth health, youth participation and other topics.

 

2. Council of Europe

 

The long-term partnership of NAYORA is based on the strong relationships with The Department of Work with Youth of the Council of Europe. NAYORA applies the experience of the Council of Europe in the field of youth work, its methodology, also decisions and recommendations of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and shares the experience of Azerbaijan in the field of youth policy with members. For the first time in 2002-2003, and then in 2014-2015, the National Council represented Azerbaijan in The Advisory Council on Youth of Council of Europe. Currently, the National Youth Council is the local coordinator of the “No Hate Speech Movement” which is the prior initiative CoE in the Youth sector for 2012-2017

 

 

 

3. European Union

The National Assembly of Youth Organizations is actively involved in the European Union's Erasmus + program. Every year dozens of young people and representatives of youth organizations participate in international events in various European countries under this program. NAYORA has been accredited by the European Solidarity Corps (formerly called European Voluntary Service) as a "sending" and "receiving" organization since 2013. And that accreditation was renewed in 2016.

- Regional Partnership

NAYORA cooperates with several international organizations and organizes joint activities with the national youth councils (NYCs) of neighboring countries in order to strengthen youth cooperation between the neighboring countries and regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan. NAYORA has signed memorandums of cooperation with leading youth platforms in Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine.
